First Week!

We all made it through the first week of Kindergarten! I had so much fun will all my *SWEET*  kids! We worked very hard on learning and practicing our classroom rules and procedures. They are Roughneck CHAMPS already. Next Monday is a school holiday. There will be NO school on Monday.

Next week we will start our “Busy Bees” literacy centers, math workshop, and writing workshop. Your child will be learning so much this year! I will start sending homework next week. Your child will have all week to complete the homework. It should be turned in on Friday. Homework is not mandatory. If your child turns in their homework (all completed) they will get to place a sticker on their homework/reading chart. Once the chart is filled up they may choose a prize from the *TREASURE BOX*. Please work with your child every night.

We started talking about capital and lowercase letters this week. Encourage your child to practice writing their first and last name the correct way.

I can’t wait to see all those smiling faces on Tuesday!
